Hi, I’m David.

David Pierce crosses the finish line of the Honolulu Marathon wearing a flower crown (lei po'o).

I am a marketing and communications specialist with 5+ years of experience helping mission-driven organizations plan thoughtful campaigns, tell meaningful stories, and inspire action.

My work spans digital strategy, email, websites, social media, advocacy, fundraising, content, and analytics. I like taking projects from an early idea through planning, launch, and evaluation.

Growing up between Hawaiʻi, Japan, and California shaped my curiosity about people, culture, and place. I studied anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and I’m a Certified California Naturalist.

Outside of work, I’m usually exploring parks, taking photographs, listening to music, training for my next race, or planning another trip outdoors.

What Guides My Work

I bring curiosity, context, and clear strategy to every project. My goal is to create work that feels useful, accessible, and true to the people behind it.
